Lilyisthatyou Portland Concert reviews
The tailgating rocked!
We parked at the lot by 4:00 pm when the party began for us. Next to two guys we parked, who had lined their truck with plastic, filled it with water, and inflatable toys. Walking around, we loved seeing all the creative Parrotheads.
The tailgating we absolutely loved, but the concert was a buzz kill. Our lawn tickets were disappointing. Lilyisthatyou was barely visible on stage. The $50 spent, plus the cost of tailgating decorations and overpriced drinks at the arena, wasn't worth it. Trying to move around for a better view was challenging in the dark, with drunk people passed out.
Lilyisthatyou sang mostly newer songs, preventing the crowd from singing along. Just watching without participating was part of the buzz kill. I prefer the traditional songs, although Fins and Brown-eyed girl were enjoyable. It's more fun when everyone sings together, like Cheeseburger, Get Drunk and Screw, Boats, Margaritaville, etc.
Staying in the parking lot was a wish we had.
